We are always seeking friendly, reliable attendants for our Cambridgeport neighborhood laundromat near Central Square. The position requires doing wash-dry-fold laundry for customers, handling laundry drop-off and pick-up orders, processing dry-cleaning drop-off & pick-up, and, most importantly, serving our customers in a friendly, professional manner!
About the Job
Attendants are responsible for greeting and helping customers that are doing their own laundry or dropping off dry cleaning or laundry for wash-dry-fold service. While not helping customer, attendants are expected to wash, dry and fold customer orders as well as keep the store clean and organized. Other duties include tagging and processing dry cleaning orders that are cleaned by another company and picked-up/dropped-off daily. The job includes using the cash register and laundry machines as well as cleaning.
About You
- Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Excellent customer service skills are required!
- Attention to detail is a must!
- You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be physically capable of sometimes-strenuous cleaning duties such as mopping, sweeping, etc.
- Be flexible; You may occasionally be asked to cover other shifts.
- You must have basic computer skills and be able to type quickly and accurately in grammatically correct English.
- No smoking at all during work shifts (we handle customers’ clean laundry!)
- Must be able to be paid electronically and provide appropriate tax/work documents.
